Skyline von Düsseldorf mit Rheinkomet® | Anlässlich der Feierlichkeiten zum 70. Geburtstag des Bundeslandes Nordrhein-Westfalen vom 26. bis 28. August 2016 (auch NRW-Tag genannt) wurden auf der Spitze des Rheinturmes zahlreiche Scheinwerfer installiert, die mal einfarbig, mal in verschiedenen Farben sternförmig vom Turm strahlen. Durch die Höhe des Turmes und der hohen Lichtintensität waren die Strahlen über viele Kilometer zu sehen, sogar in Köln waren sie noch sichtbar. Das Lichtschauspiel hinter welchem der Düsseldorfer Lichtkünstler Klaus Gendrung steckt, war ein Geschenk der Bürgerstiftung "DUS-illuminated" an das Land und seiner Hauptstadt zum 70. Geburtstag. Ende Juni / Anfang Juli 2017 wurde die Lichtinstallation zum Auftakt der Tour de France in Düsseldorf erneut aufgebaut und aktiviert. - Realized with Pictrs.com
